centera regeneration buffer

Is there a way to increase this buffer size ? (currently at 1 disk) and would it be of any benefit toward speeding the regen process?

thanks in advance

Hi Ron

The command required is set capacity regenerationbuffer.

Config# set capacity regen
Limit in disks per cube [1]: 2
Issue the command?
(yes, no) [no]: y

You can verify your new setting with show capacity regenerationbuffer.

Config# sho capacity regen
Capacity Regeneration Buffer Mode: Hard Stop
Capacity Regeneration Buffer Limit: 1 disk

Be aware that it will increase always to two times the amount of the number of disks you specify.

Increasing the regenerationbuffer does not raise the priority of regeneration and will not result in smaller regeneration times. It will give you more buffer to accommodate more failures.

Best regards, Holger
