Centera pool deletion (content)
Hi,
We had an application that was writing to Centera dedicated pool, then we decommed the app without deleting the content on Centera pool. Making matters worse, we didn't retain the metadata to identify the clipIDs.
For the purpose of recovering unused space, we want to delete the content on that dedicated pool. But for some reason, our storage experts are saying that there are no tools available to identify the clips in the pool let alone to delete the pool content and recover the space. My understanding is that EMC tech was also on the same line. Note that we don't want to delete the pool we just need to delete the content within the pool. Also, the centera in question has no compliance or retention defined. Is there anyway to achieve this? Thanks

Hi, in regards to your post we have tools that can help with this. If you want to drop me an email on David.beattie@reciprocalgroup.co.uk then I can discuss further with you.
We can certainly delete the data in the pool very easily with our tools so can help with what you need to do.
Happy to discuss.
