The Celerra is created as a Storage Group in the Clarion CX3 Actually we have two failed drives (Shelf 1/0 Disk 2 & Shelf 1/0 Disk 8 ) in the Clariion within the same Raid Group (Raid Group-16).
We verified the Volumes in the Celerra into the DiskGroup ID:16 and they are not used,
Since those volumes are not used, we need to delete them before deleting the Raid Group-16 in the Clariion in order to recover the rest of the drives and use them as Host spares. But we are unable to delete the volumes, in the GUI the Delete button is greyed out (logged in as nasadmin ).
Can you tell me if I can delete the (Raid Group-16) within the Clarionn without affecting the Celerra ?

Is this a system defined pool?? means created by AVM??
If yes, you cannot delete a system defined pool. You can shrink the pool by removing the volumes associated with the pool.
Thanks,

Apologies for ignorance,
The output itself stating that this is a system defined pool.
is_user_defined = False
Thanks,

Its a system pool – you cannot delete it – nor is there any sense in deleting it.
LUNs (dvols) get automatically assigned to system pools depending on their performance and protection profile.
As long as they are unused you can simply use them manually or “move” them to a user defined pool.

Check if any dvols there that are still displayed as in use
First delete any volumes, file systems, … before deleting the raidgroup
See nas_volume and nas_raid
