Error occured while configuring quotas on existing qtree's in Celerra

Hi,

I'm trying to setup Quotas on Existing Qtree in Celerra but getting an error when i try to switch quotas ON on qtree. as shown below.

[nasadmin@xxxf0001 ~]$ nas_quotas -on -tree -fs UX -path /appli/xxxxxNAS

Error 13157531661: Creating tree quota directory xxxxxNAS on the file system failed with status DuplicateEntry.

I have read that Quotas can be configured while creating qtree on celerra. but in my situation, Qtree is already in Prod. and i have to configure Quotas on it.

can anyone help me please how can i configure quota on existing qtree?

Thanks in advance.

Aman

Nested quota trees are not supported. That is, a tree quota applies to the specified directory and all of its subdirectories. You cannot specify a tree quota for the parent or child directory of another directory if it is already a quota tree.

Please see the man page and that you have the correct command syntax

Error sounds like you want to create a treequota where there already is one
