Avamar 7.4 Client Downloads

Hi,

Please find the following links for 7.4 client downloads:

Upgrade Client Downloads:

Upgrade the Server Catalog only:

To perform catalog upgrade on the Avamar server - recommended to be done out of the backup window and while not backups are scheduled to run:

1-Download the required package from the URL.

2-Login to the Avamar Server Utility node using the WinSCP tool and copy the downloaded package to the “/data01/avamar/repo/packages” directory.

3-If the ftp access to the Avamar server is allowed, it is possible to download the package directly using the following two commands after logging to the Avamar server using a putty session; otherwise skip to step#4:

cd /data01/avamar/repo/packages

curl -O -v  “URL”

4-Open the following URL in the Web Browser:  http:// /avi.

5-Type the Avamar administrator user account in the User Name field and the password in the Password field, Click Log On.

6-Click System Maintenance, the SW Updates and History tabs appear, click it.

7-On the SW Updates tab, click the Install button.

Note:

If you installed the UpgradeClientDownloads package then there will be no need to install the UpgradeClientPluginCatalog one; UpgradeClientPluginCatalog is only needed if you want to upgrade the catalog version while still having the old version packages exist in the download page; in this case you will need to contact Avamar support to provide the specific client/plugin packages upon needed.
