m17 R3, AWCC stuck loading screen

I am stuck in the loading screen when I open the AWCC (Alienware Command Center). I can't use it. Even a new installation or an installation of an older version doesnt work.

Any suggestions?

Hi @icemantopgun download the free Revo Uninstaller and use with Advanced scanning mode setting. After uninstalling your AWCC, press Scan and when prompted select and delete all files, you might get a second prompt to select and delete more files. You have now removed everything associated with the AWCC.  After restart, you can clean install the AWCC, as if for the first time. Kind regards.

I tried every tip on this page. At the end, the one that worked was indeed exactly the way "Alienware Area-51 ALX 2006" recommended. I first skipped the safe mode, but to uninstall in safe mode is indeed important. Otherwise, it doesn't work. I suppose in normal mode some drivers are loaded that can't be deleted.

Here a recap, with the info how to activate the uninstall-app in safe mode:

- download the latest AW Command Center (AWCC) + AW OC Controls (AWOCC);
- restart laptop in safe mode without network (see link in thread for details);
- in safe mode, the app-uninstall (msiserver) doesn't work.
To activate the app-uninstall (msiserver), open a command-prompt as admin and type:

REG ADD “HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\MSIServer” /VE /T REG_SZ /F /D “Service”

and press enter. Type

net start msiserver

and press enter. Close the command-prompt.

- Now, still in safe mode, uninstall the AWCC and AWOCC via the regular Windows uninstall menu.
- Restart the laptop in normal mode and install first the AWCC and then the AWOCC.
- Restart the laptop a last time. You're done.

A big thank you to "Alienware Area-51 ALX 2006" for this solution!!

Grab a usb stick.

<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell>

Then once downloaded, install on usb stick to reboot into safe mode and uninstall the command center and install the ones I provided to you.

So i am going to be blunt and to the point. I have done both of these steps once through the USB stick and once again through revo... Neither worked. I still have no function for the software Alienware Command Center.... It's rather infuriating that it fails every time....

Any further suggestions would be helpful since support cannot figure it out and keep closing my tickets rather than fixing the issue.

Thanks.
