m16 R1, data and files deleted after update twice

I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I need this issue resolved before summer ends. Around July 9-10, I updated my Alienware m16 R1 laptop. After the update, I found all my data and files had been deleted. Apps that are not Edge or Settings, or apps I downloaded before (including games), will not open after clicking on them. When I restarted my laptop, it deleted my files again but kept my apps. I tried to fix this and ran a diagnostic on my laptop, which indicated that the update had an issue, but it did not provide a solution. I’m not sure which update caused this issue, and I haven’t seen any error messages after this happened. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
