m15 R7, can't configure RAID 0?

Hi everyone!

I have an Alienware m15 R7 that I'm trying to setup RAID 0. I changed from AHCI to RAID in the BIOS. Then I inserted a USB stick with the Intel RST floppy, along with the Windows boot stick. When I get to the hard drive screen, I load the RST drivers and the installer can see the SSD drives. However, it gives me no options for combining the two drives into a single device. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks!

Hi zogthegreat welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.

The old RAID 0 configuration is used by HDD, not SSD. A single OS(C:) 1TB or more storage capacity ultrafast M.2 SSD with GPT partition format and boot list UEFI enabled is more reliable.

Please look at the following Knowledge Base Articles to configure RAID 0:-

@crimsom hello, nice day. The links cited do not apply to m15 R7. There is no option to create or edit RAID array.

I have the same problem as OP.  There is no [intuitive?] way to change the PHYSICAL DISK INFO “Status” from “Non-RAID”.
