Alienware 15 R3 - Battery swollen multiple times
I just noticed my battery is swollen again. I wondered if I am really unlucky or if this is normal. It is now the 3rd time in less than 6 years.

No, you are just one among others with the swollen battery issue. Dell uses lithium polymer batteries in those Alienware laptops due to their slim shape and longer life. However, it has consequential potential for batteries swelling leading to them bulging, pressed against the touchpad and damaging the keyboard/palmrest if the swelling batt was not removed in time.
