The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk0\DR0
Can anyone suggest a diagnostic utility to help me troubleshoot this issue?
I find this message in the Event Viewer when I am playing WoW ... game freezes ... whole machine practically freezes.
If I have Resource Manager up before the freeze occurs, I see the numbers in the Response Time column are ridiculously high .. like 5,000+ ms
I have an M17xR2 (Hard Drive, 500GB, S2, 7.2K, P11, SGT-HOLL).
Any help is appreciated!

I searched google will quick and found this.

I also read that it is most likely your hard drive failing. run a full scandisk and see if any errors pop up.

And yet more advice....

Hmm, while I have ignored the since Aug 5/11 periodic System Events 11 errors, mostly "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk9\DR9", it that is an MBR error on one of my drives I should perhaps try to correct it. But how can I determine which drive is at fault? Do I simply start counting starting with Zero in my Device Manager's listing? e.g. would it be my 2nd Raid 0 set installed with AW help Dec. 10?
Those reported errors started only on Aug 5/11 with Harddrive 10\DR10 reported 6 times, then Harddrive 9\DR9 5 times on Aug 6, an "unconventional" report of Harddrive 9\DR10 on Aug 15 and on 4 separate dates between Aug 21 to Oct 24 with 14 reported Harddrive 9\DR9 errors (was away for over 6 weeks) The reported USB flash drive is usually always connected to a USB port on my monitor where my USB Logitec Camera is also always connected. From time to time I have had my camera's flash drive connected to upload pictures which may have been on dates when those errors were reported..As I did that recently, it could well have been on Oct 24 when the last event was reported. Will try that immediately and report back if that event is being recorded while trying.
Based on my records there were no changes made to the PC form July 30 to Aug 8th, which I installed 6 Win7 updates.

Further to the above based on my picture records my last update from the camera was on Oct 25 and to-days test connection also did not generate an event 11 Disk error, so it must be related on another disk.
