Network issues with Alienware M15x Laptop
Hello there,
I have the aalienware 15 with the i7 processor and the GTX 970M video card, and more importantly the Killer 1525 802.11ac 2x2 WiFi adapter. I have only had this machine for 4 or 5 months now, and let me say that I've never had this many problems with any computer or laptop I've owned in my previous experience, which is unfortunate because I had heard good things about Alienware computers. And the support is nice, I will give them that, but it doesn't make up for me needing support 3 times on a 5 month old machine. I will email support and they will probably send a tech and replace my wireless adapter, but in the event that it doesn't fix anything I'm wondering if anyone knows about this issue or remedies to it.
My issue is simply with network connectivity, ever since I have had the laptop I have had some problems with online gaming, most notable Smite and LoL, I will often (but not consistently reproducable) experience game sessions with lag. This issue does not persist when plugged into the ethernet, it doesn't exist for other devices and computers in the same game on the same network, and it continues to exist on multiple different networks. Overall, it wasn't the biggest issue in the world, sometimes I plugged into ethernet, sometimes I tried to ignore it and accept I'd do worse and learned to play with it, and sometimes I was fortunate enough to not experience any issues (again, no clear signs as to what the trigger was, I would often play with all other apps closed, and I've had fine games with chrome and other things open as well). More recently, however, I've been getting intermitently disconnected from my wireless netowork, and I suspect my wireless adapter of being the culprit. Again, there are other devices and computers connected to the network not having issues, and I've been on this network before without issue. I have reset the access point and the issue persists, and I've tried changing the driver (down-dating and then back up-dating) and still the issue persists, which makes me think maybe it actually is the hardware and it will be fixed when it's replaced. Googling however says people with the M17x laptop and a different Killer Network card seem to have somewhat similar issues, but I didn't find anything in regards to my network card, so any help would be appreciated. I have run both a virus scan and a hardware scan and everything is fine on those ends.

Hello,
Open Device Manager and double click on the Power Management tab. Check or clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box. If this option was checked, it can sometimes cause the WiFi adapter to disconnect from the network.
