Aurora R6 blank screen during post; cannot access BIOS
Hi, have a 3 week old or so Aurora R6 (i7 7700, 16gb, 1080 Gtx, 2gb Sata, 460w) and I am having difficulty with the boot process. When I restart the system to access the BIOS the screen stays dark during the entire boot process until windows loads. I feel like the system is operating correctly otherwise because it seems like it is taking a long time to load but if i hit 'esc' it loads well. I have managed to get into BIOS by leaving the system off completely for a time then restarting and I am able to see the 'f2' prompt and get into BIOS, once in if I turn off 'secure boot' I see the 'f2' option every time (though the system warns me not to change this setting). Any ideas on what is going on? I encountered this because I was having trouble getting a new m.2 ssd to work and was checking BIOS settings. Any assistance is appreciated.

I think this might happen if you are using a video-port other than what Windows considers the Primary.
Exactly, what video port is your monitor attached to currently?
Have you tried the other ports on GTX-1080 (including all Display-Ports).
Yes, installing a SSD on a UEFI/SecureBoot system can be tricky if clone/migration isn't quite right. A clean Windows install (with only the SSD connected at first) is usually easier or proof that it can work. See my Forum Bookmarks

Thanks Tesla you were spot on. I thought I was using the primary slot on the card but apparently not. Thanks for the bookmarks for the ssd install. I haven't gotten quite there yet as the drive I bought (PNY 480gb m.2) seems a dud since the computer gets a critical error and restarts roughly every hour with it installed... I have a Samsung 960 evo on order which will hopefully do the trick and if I am lucky PNY will actually respond to my RMA request. Thanks again!

1. You are welcome. Maybe you could mark my post as Correct Answer for others searching later?
2. Remember, for some strange reason, on the Aurora-R6, you still have to leave SSD/HDD set to RAID for PCIe/NVMe/M.2 SSD to work.
Yeah, it's not easy to test NVMe SSD. It's not like you can connect it to USB-Tester. I guess you need a PCIe Add-In card or spare laptop?
