5 beeps on my alienware laptop on start up.

Hi, laptop is a r14x 2, it has hardly been used but recently it won't start. This has been accompanied by five beeps which I believe is a cmos battery ive seen videos on YouTube of how to take laptop apart which is going to take me ages if I ever  do it at at all. Really makes me think about the actual quality of this hardware as I've owned many laptops in the last  12 years and never had this issue (all a lot cheaper than the alienware).

Any help from Dell with this?

The laptop does not have a warranty left on it.

Yeah, your CMOS battery is failing. However, you can boot the laptop normally if you press FN right after pressing the power button (you might want to rapid fire FN just to be safe).

A CMOS battery can be found relatively cheap (around $10).
