3rd Party Fan Controller for Aurora
Hello all.
Since upgrading to Windows 10 on my 2010 Aurora (i7 960) I've been having issues with the fan control (Command Centre v2.8.9.0). I've tried updating ACC to a newer version, but get an incompatibility notification.
I'm going to replace the stock AIO liquid cooler with a Be Quiet Silent Loop so thought I might as well replace the chipset, ram, hdd and pci fans at the same time and hook them up to a 5.25" bay fan controller. I think that I need to leave the cpu pump and radiator fan connected to the motherboard, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
Ideally I want a fan controller that can automatically control each fan individually, but most of the ones I've seen just seem to adjust them all based on a single temperature probe.
Has anyone out there had any success with something like this?

On my Aurora-R1, I use AW-CC v2.8.11.0 on Windows-10/64bit. It's Win-8/Win-10 compatible and I think final version for this machine. Works fine for me.
Just in case you decide to stick with MIO-Board, AW-CC, and AW-wired Asetek OEM coolers. The newer Premium Cooler DPN 01YGW (from Aurora-R4) is an easy fit and a bit of an upgrade.
Going your proposed way ... no reason it would not work. Just wire-up like a normal custom-build gaming computer (using their directions).

Hey Tesla,
Thanks for the information, that actually helped a lot.
I've just replaced all 5 fans (chipset, RAM, PCI, HDD and PSU) with Noctua units and shoehorned in a Be Quiet Silent Loop 120mm AIO to replace the stock Alienware unit. Took a bit of swearing and 10 minutes with a Dremel, but got there in the end.
Instead of faffing around with a 3rd party fan controller, I uninstalled AW-CC and re-installed version v2.8.11.0 as advised and it works a treat.
Biggest issue was having a 3 pin connector on the CPU pump while the motherboard has a 7 pin connection, but found another post on here that gave me the pin outs and a couple of the Noctua fans came with Scotchlock connectors, so all is good.
Bit weird having a near silent machine, it was beginning to sound like a Hoover.
