X51-R3, CPU, GPU upgrade

Hello,

I am looking into upgrading my Alienware X51 R3 from the stock i5 Intel Core to a i7 Intel Core and upgrading the GPU to a 1070 GTX from the stock 970 GTX. Not knowing much about PC engineering, could anyone help me if the parts I want are compatible? Do I need to upgrade the PSU? If so could you guys recommend me some?

I suggest you take that $800 and put it toward a new computer that isn't challenged with a weak (laptop-like) Power-Supply, has enough room to cool this level of video card, and has a liquid-cooler for Intel-i7.
