Will Logitech Z906 speakers work with my Denon AVR-X2700H AV Receiver?
I just ordered this Logitech Z906 Speaker System planning to use it with the new Denon AV receiver I got for Christmas. Someone just told me I couldn't use this speaker system with an AV receiver. If this is true, I won't even open the box. I wanted a surround speaker system to use with my Aurora R7 and the Denon AVR-X2700H 8K Receiver. I didn't see anything in the literature that said it couldn't be used with an AV receiver?? Please help
Thanks,

I would suggest posting this in either the Logitech forum here or the Denon forum here for better results. You can also call Denon customer support at this number:

You can connect and use the Logitech Z906 Speaker System directly with the Aurora-R7. The Logitech Z906 Speaker System is already amplified by its built-in one.
The speakers for a Denon AVR-X2700H Audio-Video-Receiver are conventional ones like for a home-theater. They are usually around 4-8 Ohms and not usually pre-amplified (except for the Sub-Woofer). I use Polk-Audio and JBL ones here. I've heard Klipsch are good also.
A proper entry-level set of 5.1 speakers for a Denon AVR-X2700H AVR, would be like:
- Fronts: A pair of tower and/or bookshelf speakers
- Center Channel Speaker
- Surrounds: A second pair of (usually smaller style) speakers
- A Sub-Woofer

For 7.1, you add another pair of (usually smaller style) speakers for the Back channel. For 6.1 the Back-channel can just be a single speaker.

You don't need the Denon amplifier as this system is self powered and a standalone solution.
