New R16 Options
See this link: New R16 options
Will be interesting to see if a BIOS update will provide Gen 14 CPU upgrades, or if it's another design decision not to provide a BIOS update to support that CPU upgrade.

Op seems to imply Del might make a different R16 motherboard for 14th gen rather than a bios update of the original ver of mobo. it is possible. the official R10 ryzen doc does not even mention there are two kinds of boards Dell released. the community get to know this by hard lesson or thru mod.

This perhaps offers some insight into why no "K" processors were offered with the initial R16 release. From what I have read, there is not much difference between the i9-13900K and the i9-14900K . . . perhaps < 5% improvement. So if you had an R16 with the "K" processor there would be no motivation to 'upgrade' to the newer R16 14th gen. However, with the 65 watt CPU, there would be substantial improvement, and they are now offering the RTX 4090 graphics card, which was also unavailable at initial launch of the R16.

@ProfessorW00d The 65 Watts is why I am wondering. If they designed it for 65 Watts, it would explain why only non-K were offered. It would keep the design within the 65 watts envelope...
Curious to see if my prediction will be correct, or not.

I am curious about the R15's compatibility with the 14th generation. They all have the same chipset.
