USB-C issues can be varied some of them are:

1. PC in need of a reboot.

2. USB drivers corrupted or out-of-date

3. Dirty USB port (foreign material in port)

4. Trusted devices not enabled

5. W11 power management settings

6. Viruses or malware

7. USB port or device may be malfunctioning

Things to try to resolve the issue:

1. Reboot PC and try to connect again

2. Update and/or reinstall USB drivers, check Windows Update and Dell Support page for latest drivers

3. Clean your USB port (compressed air or soft brush)

4. Enable trusted devices

5. Edit power management settings to not allow computer to turn the device off. Also check and disable the USB hang setting if enabled

6. Scan your computer for viruses or malware, remove and repair as necessary

7. If port is verified as good, try a different USB device. If device is good, the port may be malfuinctioning and a service call to replace it may be necessary
