Dell OEM RTX 3070 fans stopped spinning

Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10

Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10

Hi,

I put the RTX 3070, the Ryzen 7 5800x and the SSD of the Alienware Aurora R10 PC in a new PC.
It has an ethermax power supply, asus rog strix x570 f gaming MB and a Artic Liquid freezer 420 in a Be quiet case. After some time, the fans of the GPU stopped spinning. At least HW Monitor told me they were constantly at 0 rpm. But I can hear and see that every time my pc is on, they fans start spinning for like one second and stop immediately.

In a Game the GPU has constantly a temperature between 90 - 115 C

The bearings on them must be worn out then. They are not always easy to change because of the shroud on the card.

Might be easier to use Dell warranty if still under warranty.

You can also try blowing them out with canned air. Sometimes dirt can cause issues and it never hurts to blow out a video card after a year or so.

Use MSI afterburner, set the fan profile there.

I tried, also with Fancontrol.
Changed nothing

That is odd. I pulled an RTX 3080 from my R10 and it worked without an issue.

Did it behave normal before you pulled it? All the power cables are plugged into the Video card, and the PSU has enough power to feed your system?

Does the RPM go up and down and is the actual RPM shown in Afterburner? I have seen this before when the master fan has an issue and since it controls the speed on the slave fan(s) they all start ramping up/ramping down constantly.

MSI Afterburner and HW Monitor are always showing 0 rpm AVG, MIN and MAX

The fans are constantly spinning from 0 to whatever and stop.
Like someone is spinning them with a finger and when they stop, the same process again

So is there a way i can fix this?

If it shows always zero RPM even when they are spinning up, than the speed feedback is not working properly on the master fan.

If it does not show feedback it's likely a faulty fan. You can initiate warranty repairs if you press the get help now button in the lower right corner of the screen.

I found the issue,
the fans are not far enough in the gpu, when i push them in there is a gap and when they are in i can feel a click, but then they fall back. When they are in completely they spin like they should
