AW3225QF, RTX 4090, Nvidia Surround not working

Have three Alienware AW3225QF all connected to  Nvidia RTX 4090 DisplayPort. The Nvidia Surround is not working. Display connection error.

@Biffen99 Yes, with DSC it will require often but not always more than 1 internal head in order to function.

I think they are working on firmware for that monitor to toggle DSC on/off.

Without DSC you will get lower refresh rates, but you would have enough internal heads to make it work.

Likely not enough internal heads due to DSC being on to reach 240 Hz refresh rate.

Try with 2 monitors in surround, see if that works.

@Vanadiel

Yes 2 monitors working so it is impossible to get 3 working?

Unless they issue a firmware update to disable DSC at the monitor level, I am afraid so.

@Biffen99 How did you accomplish this?  I have two of these monitors, and I cannot get them to go into Surround mode, no matter what resolutions and refresh rates I select.  Very frustrating, so please let me know!

@Vanadiel Do you have any suggestions on how to get two AW3225QF monitors into Surround mode?  I've tried many different resolutions/refresh rates, many different cables, all with no luck.  Alienware R15 with RTX4090

Dell support is telling me these monitors are not compatible with Nvidia Surround, which is VERY disappointing if true.  Pretty ridiculous that their own monitors are incompatible with their own computers...

Try installing the latest Nvidia driver directly from Nvidia if you are using the OEM driver.

After that connect both using DP and DP supplied cables.

2 monitors should not be an issue.

@Vanadiel Yes, I have tried all of that, but no success.  I've also been working a lot with Dell Support, and their conclusion is that these monitors are not compatible with Nvidia Surround

@nbasinger Well that is nonsense. Why would they not be compatible if they are identical? User above has them working in surround mode just fine.

@Vanadiel I wish I knew how @Biffen99 did it, because Dell says "The monitor AW3225QF does not officially support Nvidia Surround."

Maybe that's just their way of blowing me off.

Thank you for your help!

@Biffen99 Can you please tell me your exact settings when you are able to put two of these monitors into Surround.  Thanks!
