Aurora R9, swap HDD for SSD

Alienware Aurora R9

Alienware Aurora R9

Newbie/old man here. I have an Aurora R9 with a 1TB HDD purchased as such. I want to install an SSD. I will clone the new drive to the old one. I’d like to remove the HDD when all is done. I can’t find step by step instructions but it appears from literature that there are bays I can put the SSD into on the bottom of the tower. And that the cabling is already “available “ there. My question, once I put the SSD into the bay, remove the HDD, and start everything up, is there anything I need to do in the Bios, say, or anywhere else? Is there more to this? Thanks in advance

This YouTube video should help. It describes using Macrium Reflect Free and there is a link in the video to download that program. One thing to remember after you clone the old drive to the new one. Once the procedure is finished shutdown the system, disconnect the old drive, then restart with only the new drive connected. If the system boots properly and all looks well, then shutdown the system again and reconnect the old drive. At that point when you reboot everything should be in order and you can format the old drive to use for storage, games, etc.
