Aurora R6, CPU upgrade from i7-7700 to i7-8700 possible?
Hello,
I have an R6 with an i7-7700 cpu on a 07HV66 motherboard and was wanting to know if the hardware is compatable to upgrade the cpu to a Intel i7-8700.

It only supports 7th generation processors: Aurora R6 Specifications
8700 is 8th generation CPU.

you may be able to upgrade to R7 motherboard in R6 case for 8th gen cpu.

No. Only Intel 7th-Gen on this motherboard. And even then, I think really only the ones it ever shipped with.
If you are trying to get to Windows-11 (64-bit) on the Aurora-R6, I did it like this (and it is still working fine).
Hint: It just takes a fresh/clean Install of OS. Here is the Wiki I wrote and had published.
