Aurora R13, AWCC not compatible?

When I first got this PC (Aurora R13) I had the AWCC (Alienware Command Center) already installed on the device. Cut to three months later where it just mysteriously vanishes from my PC without a trace. I try to reinstall it only to get hit with "this driver is not compatible." Now I don't know a lot about computers but for something that was initially on my PC to suddenly disappear like that just doesn't make any sense to me. Any help is appreciated.

I had a couple of times where AWCC would not work correctly after it updated, but never had it say the driver is not compatible.

I always just did the removal steps that you may of already tried from the Dell support article:

How to Remove and Reinstall the Alienware Command Center

After removing the traces that were listed in that and a restart, then I would download AWCC's installer from the Dell support website, run it and let it install the necessary components for the R13.

After it was working correctly and I had my settings where I was good with them, I disabled the AWCC service and blocked the updater.  That seemed to keep it happy and the lighting and OC settings all still functioned.  Going forward, I manually did AWCC and system updates since I had uninstalled the Support Assist and Alienware Update programs.   More maintenance than the auto update, but it worked for me.

If you haven't tried the steps in Dell's guide to remove the trace parts of AWCC, you might give it a try.  You could also try running a registry cleaner after the AWCC uninstall steps and before the reinstall if you were comfortable with that.

I had a similar issue with my r13, I would use the white Alienware icon to access awcc and it suddenly disappeared

for some reason after a recent update the fx part that controls fans, lighting etc has been moved to a stand-alone application and is now found via a new black/grey icon rather than the old white one

once I found this I was able to switch between either to perform updates/house keeping and the visual and fans settings

it did take a few attempts of running the standalone Alienware updater software before it got to a place where everything was back working the way it should (all be it in different applications)
