Aurora R12 Will not boot after failed bios flash
Alienware Aurora R12
Using the Dell software, I updated the firmware on my Aurora R12 - and it hung for hours in the "flashing" stage going from 0-98% complete. Finally unplugged it to shut it down. Would not boot back up. The power supply works correctly - but nothing powers up. Per the repair department, the planar and processor must be replaced. What gives? What else should I have done? Thanks.
Repair costs: $550.00

You could try the recovery sequence - unplug the power cable, hold the power button for 30+ seconds, then plug it in again with the power button still held. That might trigger a BIOS recovery if you're lucky.
