Aurora R11, RTX 4070 upgrade

I currently have an Alienware Aurora R11 with an Intel Core i7-10700F, RTX 2080 Super, and 16GB dual channeling DDR4 RAM.

I’m looking to purchase the RTX 4070, which I believe fits in the case?

However, I was wondering if it was compatible with my PC. Does I need a PSU upgrade,

and it is compatible with my motherboard and other components

If you are running an RTX 2080 Super then the 4070 should work. The 2080 pulls 250W TDP and the 4070 pulls 200W. It is a low energy card and requires the same PSU as the 2080. There were 2 PSU available for your system, a 500W and a 1000W and you did not specify which PSU you have. But again if the 2080 runs fine then the 4070 should have no problems. As far as fit is concerned the max length for a GPU in your system is 10.5" and the 4070 in general is 9.6". Also you need 2 x 8 pin connectors from the PSU though some cards have only 1 x 8 pin connector.

It also depends on what 4070 you are getting. Some have the "regular" 8 PIN power connector, while others require the new 12VHPWR connector.

Some need 1 x 8 PIN, some 2 x 8 PIN. The adaptor should be included in the box if it needs the new connector, but that will not make the sensing pins work as that needs an ATX 3.0 power supply. It should work fine without the sensing pins.
