Aurora R10, CPU upgrade options?

Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10

Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10

Hello, my alienware has a ryzen 7 5800 3.4ghz and an RXT 3080. I recently upgraded my monitor to a 360hz benq zowie, and I think that my CPU might be bottlenecking. However, I am noticing my frames dropping in games such as Overwatch 2. When I'm in firing range, 360fps is no problem, but when I'm in a real game it dips to mid 200s. I know alienware has proprietary motherboards, and I think I can upgrade my CPU, but I'm unsure. If so, what CPUs would be compatible and what would be a good option for me to upgrade to? I don't think cooling should be an issue. I'm pretty sure my aurora came with liquid cooling.

So, I went back and read my Aurora product description, and it says it has a liquid cooled cpu. I'm guessing I could use that same cooler with a R9-5900x to solve my problem, correct?

Thanks for the help!

What resolution do you run at? I use a 5900X, be aware of the heat output on that CPU. The 120 AIO is likely going to be overwhelmed during CPU intensive tasks.

The lower the resolution the higher a CPU bottleneck will be.

You should be good with a 5900X as I use one myself with a Dell RTX 3080 card.

Just be aware of the heat output of that CPU. Mine tends to run upwards of 170 Watt, and the 120 AIO liquid cooler will struggle cooling down a 170 Watt TDP. I do have mine locked at 4.6 Ghz. If you use PBO you will have less power draw, but you will still be in the region of 150 Watts or more.
