Aurora motherboards info wanted

My Alienware needs a new motherboard. I previously had the R4 motherboard. I would like a newer Aurora motherboard then the R4 but am uncertain what the part number is or other identifying factors? I also want to know does Dell sell motherboards of Alienware? If so, where can I get them?

Also, Dell does not sell motherboards.

The R4 was the last of that generation, R5 started a new generation. So there's no newer motherboard that could potentially be an unvalidated "plug and play" with AWCC and your case. If you wanted to replace the R4 motherboard with the only validated motherboard (another R4 motherboard) you can contact Dell Spare Part sales to see if there are any still available, unlikely though given the age. Your best bet is probably to look towards getting a new PC, or sourcing a used part off ebay or some other third part marketplace if you really want to keep the R4 in service.

Dell never publishes pinouts or other specifications.

A Micro ATX board like

Gigabyte B460M Micro ATX LGA 1200

Might fit in the board tray but the other aspects of the case including the lighting wont be the same or work in that case. Basically there are no upgrades.
