Alpha R1 dual monitering

So I have been trying to use two screens on my R1. I know that the second HDMI port on the back is an HDMI in. What I am doing is using a USB to HDMI/Displayport. The second screen is not being detected by either the R1 or the monitor. I know that both of the monitors that I am using work when plugged into the HDMI out. I have also used the USB hubs on another pc properly. Also when the hubs are plugged into my computer All of the USB ports on the hubs work. I have no idea what else I could do to fix the problem. I would love any advice that I could get.

I can't find the other monitor because it is very old, but it works fine.
