Alpha i5 Won’t Turn On and Flashes Orange Light Five Times

I tried turning on my Alpha i5 for the first time in over a year, but it displays a black screen and the power button flashes orange in intervals of five.

The machine started to power up the instant I added the power supply without me pressing the power button. I did a brief search and tried unplugging everything and holding the power button for 60 seconds, but the issue persists.

Is there anything I can do? The warranty mist have expired years ago.

Hy there i can see your post and i have some suggestion for you

  1. Power Supply Issue: The flashing orange light may indicate a power supply problem. Ensure that the power cable is securely connected to the computer and the power outlet. Try using a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the electrical source.

  2. Battery Check: If your Alpha i5 has a removable battery, make sure it is properly seated in its compartment. If the battery is old or faulty, it may not be providing enough power to turn on the computer. Consider trying to power on the computer with the battery removed and connected directly to the power adapter.

  3. Hardware Failure: The flashing orange light could be a sign of a hardware failure. It could be related to the motherboard, memory, or other components. In this case, it's best to contact the manufacturer's support or take the computer to a professional technician for diagnostics and repair.

  4. Overheating: In some cases, the computer might not turn on due to overheating issues. Check if the cooling fans are working correctly and ensure that the computer's vents and airways are clean and not blocked.

  5. Check for Error Codes: The specific pattern of the flashing orange light may indicate an error code specific to your computer model. Check the manufacturer's documentation or support website for information on what the pattern means.

You can try this

Thanks and regards
