xps 17 l702x factory recovery disc

Hi guys, so forgive me for my pathetic knowledge regarding all things technological but I was wondering if anyone who own an xps 17 l702x has a factory recovery disc or USB that they wouldn't mind copying for me ( for a fee ) as I see no other way of fixing my issue and have no idea where my recovery discs are or even if my xps came with any or if they were preinstalled. Somehow whilst trying to do a complete fresh install of windows 7 home premium oa from windows 10 I stupidly deleted the recovery partition not to mention a ton of dell stuff. I've tried just doing a fresh install of windows 7 from a bootable USB but a lot of the dell stuff that came installed originally is missing and no,again stupidly, I didn't make a back up image. I can only seem to find recovery discs that come from the US so I'm hoping someone might have a copy in the UK and be willing to make a copy for me as I'm totally lost now. I even checked out Phillip Yip's guide to reinstalling but really didn't understand it. Any help would be much appreciated!

Go to the Dell support page. Type in your service tag number and click on drivers and downloads. At the bottom of the page is a link to download the operating system recovery. The USB drive will install the factory installed operating system. The drivers will be installed but may not be the newest drivers. After you recover your OS, go to the support page again to download the newest drivers.

Hi Philip,

I'm essentially trying to reset the laptop to factory settings which came with windows home premium installed. Not worried about saving any current data etc. Again though, I must have deleted the recovery partition and some dell files etc as a lot of my dell programs don't appear in the current windows 10 I'm running. I just want to start it all from scratch again but don't have a recovery disc or factory image.

If I follow your instructions on creating a  bootable windows 7 USB and do a clean install will it fix any issues with drivers and bios if there are currently any?

What are you trying to do Clean Install Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 10 Home? Note you can clean install Windows 10 Home Directly and Windows 10 reaches End of Life in a year come January.

You mean Windows 7 support comes to an end in January 2020 (not Windows 10)? From where & how can I download a genuine windows 7 recovery disk image for burning onto a DVD disc & re-installing (since my original manufacturer OS disk is missing)?
