XPS 8950, Virtualization not shown in BIOS
Greetings all,
I recently purchased Dell's top-of-the-line XPS 8950 with the i9-12900K Processor with water cooling. I updated everything on the system when the computer arrived, including three BIOS updates. What surprises me is that this computer does not have virtualization in the BIOS. However, the manual for this computer states that it does. Has anybody run into this before?
I have called support, and it sounded like they did not believe me. I had to take a picture and send this to support. I find it odd that this does not support virtualization. If I find this is the case, this computer is going back for what it cost.

@mikebruno74-mac.com Is what you are looking for in the BIOS listed under Virtualization Support? See page 65 of the Service Manual.

@Vic384, Yes, I realize this but this is exactly the problem. Nowhere in the BIOS menu does it give the option to select "Virtualization Support" it is like this option is missing completely. I have also noticed that there are several options missing completely like "Wireless" and some maintenance options like "BIOS downgrade and BIOS recovery". Something is wrong here for sure!

@mikebruno74-mac.com Are you saying that your BIOS menu does not look like what is shown in the Service Manual? I don't have an XPS 8950 so I can't look at the BIOS to verify what you are saying. According to the Service Manual, the things you are looking for should be under System setup options.

I am also running 1.0.12 and missing several options including virtualization. Also missing option to enable onboard video. So, no way to boot to safe mode as I won't have display.
My specs: i9-12900K, RTX 3060 ti, 128 GB DDR5 ram, liquid cooling.

I am glad to hear it is not just me having this problem. Dell, why do you not test your BIOS updates. This is the first step in software assurance.

What BIOS are you running to see virtualization support?

Perhaps someone with the latest BIOS could post screen captures of the BIOS screens.

@jovan , would you mind posting your BIOS setting showing the virtualization section with the bios version?

Typically, when an option/feature is missing from the BIOS (that the CPU actually supports) it means it is always on (and can not be disabled).
What Virtualization software are you running that says it is disabled or unavailable ?
