XPS 8300, upgrade to Radeon HD 5770

This is an XPS 8300 i7 that I have already upgraded to 32gb ram and an SSD.  It still works fine for most of what I do....some video stuff lags....has become more of an issue since working from home.  I really do not want to purchase a new computer at the moment.

I purchased this video card on eBay that is supposedly compatible.  When I install it there is no response from the screens.  The card is older and I can not find any drivers or support info.  Does anyone have any advice?

This video card is Dell GCJ42 AMD Radeon HD 5770 1GB.  it is old and may not be recognized by your computer bios.  you should disable secure boot and UEFI in XPS 8300 bios before you install this card.  set your bios to boot in legacy mode only.  if you are successful, then install this video card and hopefully it will be supported.

Does anyone know how I can tell what video cards would work with this thing?  Don't mind spending a little more but did not want to buy something that wont work with a mobo this old.

the standard i7 for 8300 is i7-2600.

Graphic card and processor will work great together

Intel Core i7-2600 (Clock speed at 100%) with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (Clock speed at 100%) x1 will produce only 0.19% of bottleneck.

GTX 1070 Suggested PSU350 W
