Media Player and software problems

I have a Dell Dimension 8200 Series Pentium 4

Processor at 1.8, Memory 256MB PC800 RDRAM

Video Card: 64MB DDR NIVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 Graphics Card with DVI

Hard Drive: 80GB Ultra ATA/100

Plus I have Windows Media Player 9 Edition.

I upgrade my Window Media player to Xp Plus which ran good on here for 2 years and decided to add Digital Plus.

I also use to have all the Powertoys and one in particular I enjoyed alot was the XP Video Visualization Powertoy.

Now I can't use that one toy sense I added the Digital Plus. I also use to have the Creative Play Center but have had to uninstall alot of my Powertoys and that because after I install Digital Plus something went terribly wrong.

I went to set the XP Video Powertoy in my Display Setting Property box and something made my computer freeze up so bad I had to shut my computer down manually.

I have gone to Microsoft for help the upgraded my Nividia where about the only thing that helps me with is I can use it to shut down my Display Property box if it freeze up.

I have had to unistall the Digital Plus and have reinstalled it 2 times, plus I took off the Creative Play Center and all my powertoys and started reloading them one by one to see if I can figure out which is causeing my problems.

I now have the Digital Plus up and running again but I am afraid to reinstall the Powetoy and mainly the Xp Video Powertoy. Something is still causing my Windows Media Player to either freeze up or shut down because of some type of error. ( Usually a plug-in).

I have to be careful becaue my husband plays games on here on line and I am afraid to remove things becuase I don't won't to cause him to not be able to play his games.

I just want to know has anyone out there ran into any problem with the Digital Plus after you installed it and did you ever loose the funtion of being able to control your Windows Media Player afterwards.

This problem is causing all kind of freezes on my computer in alot of other areas.                                            Thank you.
