Help Using Norton Disc Doctor

When I run Norton Disk Doctor with the "Fix Errors" Option checked, Windows throws up a message that something else has exclusive access to the drive and a repair can be scheduled at startup. I restatart the system and Windows runs CHKDSK. When that is done, I log on and Disk Doctor runs automatically but the problems are not fixed. This goes round and round. How do I resolve this?

Norton Disk Doctor is not used in XP. It has been dropped in recent versions of Norton's Utilities. Instead run Chkdsk with the /R option to fix  disk errors. Like this: Go to Run and type  chkdsk  /R Then say yes to run at next reboot, and shutdown and restart to let it run.
