Dell Factory Image Restore not available?

Ok, I went to restore my Vostro 1500 laptop to the original factory settings. It runs Vista Business 32-bit. I followed all the steps listed on this guide: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/document?journalid=4414062350AC5B28E040A68F27281F79&docid=316056 However, after the 5th step, once I log in as a system administrator on the system, there is no option titled "Dell Factory Image Restore" The partition on my hard drive is still intact, I'm wondering if there is some way to make the option reappear on the recovery environment screen.

Click on these instructions. They worked for me after I changed my partition structure. If you have more than a C and D parititon, you will need to substitute the D drive letter in the instructions to the drive letter where your restore partition is. After you're done, you'll be able to see the Dell PCRestore option again from the F8 + Repair Your Computer.

See, this is the weird thing. I haven't ever touched the partition structure on my hard drive. So I'm wondering if I just got a lemon or if this batch of laptops were messed up. I know that Dell forgot to ship the recovery disks for a few months worth of the vostro laptops so I'm wondering what else they forgot to do.
