WINDOWS 10 DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION ERROR

I have a Inspiron 5548 Laptop and since the Windows 10 instalation, I'm having troubles, first an error on the instalation screen the laptop was rebooting it self over and over again, solution? Remove the video drivers.

Other issue is the DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION this error is random, sometimes it appears, some times it doesn't,

There isnt any information about this error, or a fix to it. I tought that Dell will have the necesary updates to this error by now, but that's not truth.

I have installed all new drivers for this laptop and the issue is still hunting me, just like the murphy laws, when I need to do something important.... BANG the error appears.

Anyone else with this issue? BTW I can't find Windows Hello in this update to Windows 10, I believe than Dell has a contract with "FAST ACCESS" for face recognition so Windows Hello is Disabled, to bad.

Well, let's see if anyone had this issue and want to post the solution, will be appreciated.

Best regards!!

PS Not sure to buy dell again (I only have 1 month with this laptop/brand)

Hai JOSEGZZV, I also had a issue wiith my brand new Dell Laptop. Here is my config

Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Series

1 TB HD

8 GB RAM

2 GB Nvidia Graphicscard.

The lap was initially loaded with Ubuntu and the issue started after changing the OS to Windows. I installed some thirdparty graphics drivers and laptop start freezing with error DPC Watchdog. Later I used Nvidia Getforce experience to resolve this issue.

You can read more details about DPC_Watchdog_Violation from this page. Find suggestion related to your PC and resolve it.

Don't think it's a Dell thing but more of a Windows thing...I know you saw it all over the web. Microsoft needs to step up to the plate, otherwise, I'm not looking forward to spending an entire work day trying to teach someone English so they can fix my PC. Steps taken (which initially seemed to work) but I really don't want to reinstall Windows 10....will let you know how this goes..

If you facing the dpc watchdog violation error on your Windows computer, I would suggest you to do system reset or restore to the previous point. It will help you restore your Windows system to be the working point.

I have the same problem like you with the same error code: DPC Watchdog Violation. After a few hours tried to find a right solution to fix my problem, I figure that the firmware of my SSD is out of date and need to update.

I have downloaded the firmware for the SSD and update it. After that step, I don't see the error appear again.

If you have the same problem with the dpc watchdog violation like me and want to fix it. I would suggest you take a look at the article at here.

I had the same error on a dell Inspiron 1750 after win10 update. In my case every time I play a video(YouTube, etc) I got this error. The solution in my case was in bios/System configuration/ SATA Operation/AHCI. After I choose AHCI, instead of ATA or Disable, everything works fine and I didn't encounter DPC WATCHDOG error.
