Delete McAfee in Registry

I just uninstall The 90 day free trial of Mcafee. I had no problems with uninstall. my next concern is getting rid of the McAfee entries in my registry. Would I be fairly save in using run, regedit, click Edit find, type in McAfee and delete any/all found McAfee items than use F3 to continue searching until all of McAfee was found and deleted. Of course I would backup my registry before I started. Or could I just forget it and let it remain in my registry? I'm uneasy working in the registry! Thanks.

Thanks for info. I have already did the search and deleted all McAfee files/folders. I feel I'm clean in that aea. Does leaving the McAfee remnants in my registry slow it down enough to worry about?

It would be better if you not tried to delete registry entries unless you have some exerience in working on a registry. Because some entries have "shared features" which means by removing them you could affect other programs.

It would be far safer if you would just use your search window, locate and delete any remaining files from Mcafee.

Orphaned registry entries usually don't cause a problem :smileyhappy:
