How to create a checkpoint schedule
Building on the concept of filesystem checkpoints, another major feature is the ability to create custom checkpoint schedules. This allows the system administrator to schedule snapshots when they want and to meet corporate compliance guidelines. Checkpoint schedules are configured via the Unisphere GUI and can be fine-tuned from months down to hours of the day.
A video demonstration (and companion PDF guide) of the process can be found here: https://support.emc.com/media43628
For more information on checkpoints and SnapSure, extensive documentation can be found here: https://support.emc.com/docu41442_Using-VNX-SnapSure.pdf

Hi Sean,
I have a daily checkpoint scheduled and I keep 8 checkpoints.
Now I have a specific request to keep for a month the checkpoint made last Sunday, how can I do it in a simple way?
Do I need to recreat the schedule with diferent checkpoint names or is there a way to rename or preserve the checkpoint made last Sunday?
Thank you very much for you support

you will need to create another checkpoint schedule for the same file system. Two checkpoint schedules for the same file system with co-exist without any issues. I don't set specific names, i let the system take care of it for me.
