Migrating data from NAS to SAN
Hi all,
We have a Datacenter migration scenario, where the CIFS Shares currently hosted on the NetApp VFiler, are supposed to be migrated to Symmetrix VMAX array. I'd like to know, if this can be done without disturbing the NAS clients accessing the shares? Also, how about the file-system consistency while moving from NetApp VFiler NAS array to VMAX SAN array? Any specific migration tools advised for this task?
Many thanks in advance,
SreeHari

It was planned that the actual storage space will be presented from a SAN array and the shares created locally on the server hardware, however, now a Celerra VG-8 is in place, so the question is no more valid.
Thanks,
