How do I set up an alert for a Raid failure?
I have a Poweredge 860.
I use Dell OpenManage Server Administrator Version 6.5.0
I see that I can set up alerts for many things.
However I cannot see any alert managment for the Sas Raid or disks if there is a failure of the raid. I have a mirrored drive and want to be alerted if there is a falure, or if a disk is going bad.
Where is this alert set up?
Thanks.

Col288,
You will need to use IT Assistant in conjunction with the Open Manage Server Admin. You install ITA on your workstation and Server Admin on the server. It can then be configured to send SNMP email alerts.
Here is a link to IT Assistant - www.dell.com/.../DriverFileFormats

Is there any way to set up alerts without using SNMP?
If Open Manage sees any kind of alert, I just want an email, this would make it far easier to manage servers for clients that normally only call for break fixes.....
