Getting error "JAR resources in JNLP file are not signed by the same certificate" after iDRAC update

I updated my M610 iDRACs from 3.75 to 3.80 and now I'm getting an error when trying to run the virtual console: "JAR resources in JNLP file are not signed by the same certificate".

Anyone seen this and know the solution? I've tried clearing my Java cache and my browser cache but that doesn't help. If I run the virtual console from another desktop machine it works fine.

Thanks.

We are having the same issues with our 610 and 710HD servers. I opened another thread also: No fix yet.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like there are multiple threads open for this issue on the hardware forum.

FYI I "fixed" my problem by completely uninstalling and reinstalling Java (v8 build 91) on my desktop. Now I'm able to connect to the virtual console on my M610s without a problem again.

I'm not convinced it's really an iDRAC issue as such - it seems more likely that some kind of java-related file or certificate on my desktop was clashing with the new jnlp file from the updated iDRAC. Either that or it has something to do with the build 131 Java edition that I also had installed on my desktop (I don't anymore - I need the older one for one of my apps and everything runs fine so far without needing the upgrade to 131).

Confirmed, uninstalling Java 8.131 and installing 8.91 allows me to open the virtual console on my M610s again as well.

Hi,

I resolved this issue in going to java preferences -> General, I clicked on settings button.

In the popup 'Temporary File settings' I clicked on 'delete files..' button. And then I could launch console.

Best regards

Solution for me was found here: https://support.oneidentity.com/kb/234025/no-longer-able-to-launch-the-idrac-console-after-upgrading-java

"Edit the "jdk.jar.disabledAlgorithms" section of the java.security file and remove the weak algorithm that DRAC is using, so that it will not be blocked. The file is located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\ \lib\security\java.security"

Basically edit that file and remove the "MD5" from the sections there where it's listed as a "disabledAlgorithms".

I was having the same error message with a different Java applet. Google search lead me to here and deleting the temporary files as sebzh mentioned resolved this issues for me. Thank you so much!
