SupportAssist is displaying updates already installed by Dell Update
I have both Dell Update and SupportAssist installed on my Dell Inspiron 7579. Even after updating my laptop using Dell Update, the same updates show up when I start SupportAssist. SupportAssist should have a way of knowing which updates have already been installed on the laptop.

Tyrande,
If the Dell command update is installed you do not require to check your update through the Support assist as the Dell command update has a higher priority and may cause the SA updates to be redundant.

After updating BIOS to 1.6.2 on my m15 r4. Support assist and dell.support both insist that I need to update the bios to 1.6.2. I checked with DXdiag which shows the update went through and I am running 1.6.2 already.

I have the same problem, started 1-2mos ago. I use Dell Inspiron laptop 7390 2n1. I install it, it goes thru scanning and downloading, it says update will run in the background, I let it run. Next time I boot up the same msg again. It's getting annoying.
Should I disregard this msg?
Is Dell aware that it's still happening as of Dec 21, 2025?
Pls advise. Thanks.
