iastor.sys error when deploying Win 7 MDT
Hi all,
I'm trying to deploy Windows 7 Pro 32 bit on an OptiPlex 780, After the MDT process completes and the system reboots, I get an error "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause..." followed by:
File: \windows\system32\drivers\iaStor.sys
Status: 0xc000035a
This happens on other DELL systems as well. I checked in Microsoft Deployment Workbench and the drivers are there. I then tried deleting the x64 drivers and leaving the x86, updating the share then redeploy, and still getting the same error.
We have a Windows 8.1 image on the same deployment share which works just fine. Any thoughts? I've googled the heck out of this and came up dry. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi jwallnsg,
There are four possible SATA mode settings in the BIOS. Try legacy.

Thank you OSPREY4, but I confirmed that Legacy was already set in the BIOS before deploying. Other suggestions? I'm thinking this is something more from the MDT setup but not sure what is causing the error.

As I mentioned, there are four options. Try something else.
