New Type DVD Recorder Media ??
I hear that there will be a new type DVD media coming out soon that will have a larger capacity than there presently is, and this will result in a new type recorder.
Is this correct? If so what's the deal...............

Ok, thanks for the link. That's what I was referring to.
I had interest in a dvd recorder and was wondering if I should hold off for a while. I think if I wait for the next best thing I'll never get one.

I think this is what you will see in the immediate future, although the price for the unit and media will be pricey in the beginning.

It is bad enough now with just 2 formats, plus and dash. It will really get messy with 4 or them out there.
