Dell Opitiplex 755 installing a second dvd-rom/optical drive.

Okay I was wondering what port wold i use to install the #2 dvd-r optical drive? i have the power jumper already and the dvd-r will open close & even play when i use the same Sata port for the dvd/rw optical drive that came with the computer. the HDD is the blue Sata port 0 right next to the Sata port 1. so i thought i just needed to use Sata port # 2, 3 or eSata? well it doesn't work. but if i connect it to Sata port #1 then the added dvd-rw ROM plays. I have searched for a "piggy-back" jumper to no avail. I can only find directions to add another HDD. i have not tried to move the hard drive to a different Sata port. i did see some converter from Sata to USB. But it seems that since my desktop comes with the extra port for an extra optical drive there should be a really simple way to make both operate. i am going by the manual in .pdf.

it took some trying sata-1 & sata-2 then "toggling" them on & off from the F-2 BIOS. for a moment i had zero Optical drive upon boot-up. but then i hit F-2 BIOS and manually chose "On" even though it said "Default setting "On". I just toggled it from On/to "Off", then back to On. Exited. it booted up, said installing software. and bam!!! both Optical Drives work!!!!  Thank you for all the help!!!!!!!!
