Asus DVD burner and .AVI to DVD software

Hi everyone !

I've bought a month ago a ASUS DVD burner there was Nero Essentials 7 within. I guess it was a trial software 'cause now I can't burn .AVI to DVD anymore. A shame because all my movies from my Sony HDV are compress in AVI.

I still can burn storage DVD.

I've got some questions

1- What should I do extend the Nero license?

2- or get another software ?

if yes which one?
