Printer status / toner left pop-up window - how to disable
Hi
1720dn laser, USB, XP Pro sp3, drivers and utilities installed from supplied Dell CD
How do I stop the printer status and toner remaining pop-up window from appearing every time I hit the "Print" key in any app.? I have rooted around the menus and settings, but can't seem to find anything that will do it. No response from Dell support :emotion-5:

Go to add remove programs. Double click on the "Dell software uninstall" application. Check the boxes for the "Dell Printer Supplies Reorder Application" and "Printing Status Window". Click finish. This will solve your pop up issue and also eliminate the print delay you are probably also experiencing.

This absolutely worked on my Dell 1700 Laser Printer. For the record, I was on the phone with Dell Support today for 54 minutes, and they couldn't help me. They wouldn't transfer me to a supervisor, but offered to remote onto my machine for $59 to see what they could do. After approximately45 minutes, a supervisor did come onto the phone. When he found out I have Windows 10 on my computer, he said there isn't a driver for the Dell 1700 Laser Printer compatible with Windows 10. He said there's no way to eliminate the Dell Printer Supplies Reorder pop-up or Printing Status Window. He said I should be glad my printer works at all. Can you believe that?:?!! So....thank you, Dan Olson. I appreciate your help!
