Dell t3600 BIOS Password Locked and will not clear

Question

I have an off lease t3600 which has locked BIOS which will not clear despite removing the CMOS battery, and/or using the reset jumpers, and/or removing the PSU and all attached cables. I have repeatedly tried the steps to do so in accordance with the Manual but the system remains locked. Is there no other way to delete, clear, override or reset the password so I can install new hardware and Windows?

Leave the CMOS battery out for at least 30 minutes or in some cases users have had luck leaving it out overnight. Also try a new CMOS battery after leaving the old one out as I described. This Dell support page may help. Make sure to read about the jumper and powering the system on.
