iDRAC Web Interface Stopped Working
The front LED was flashing yellow. The server was operating normally.
Looking at he iDRAC web page it shows a critical error - Watchdog has expired. iDRAC web page stopped working. I was able to use the racadm command to reset the iDRAC. The yellow light stopped flashing. A few minutes later it started flashing again and the web interface was not working. The cli shows the following status:
Watchdog Information:
Recovery Action = None
Present countdown value = 0 seconds
Initial countdown value = 480 seconds
So the watchdog is counting down to zero and the iDRAC web interface is not working. Any suggestions?

Hi, this has been a long thread. This is the final troubleshooting I could offer.
1. iDRAC to default setting https://dell.to/3y5GvvX
if that doesn't work
2 Try changing iDRAC IP
if that doesn't work, 3. all there's left is a physical hardware issue. Replacement of the embedded iDRAC will most likely be needed.
Wish you a good weekend.

Can you give more details on iDRAC web page not working? What message are you getting and whether login page is coning or not? Are you able to SSH to iDRAC when iDRAC web page is not working? Can you check LifeCycle Log and see any message regarding this?
Can you also share server model and current iDRAC FW version. If it is not latest can you flash latest iDRAC FW and check the behavior.

Not sure how to see life cycle log. The server is live and carrying traffic.

The browser says can't open page and can't connect to server. ssh cannot connect. ping works.

I did a reset using : racadm racreset
I get this status using : racadm getsysinfo
When I try to update using:
racadm -r 192.168.0.120 -u root -p rootpassword update
I get:
ERROR: Unable to connect to RAC at specified IP address.
I am able to ping the address OK.
PING 192.168.0.120 (192.168.0.120) 56(84) bytes of data.

So I don't know how to update the fw.
FYI:

Is there any firewall configured on the network which is blocking port 80 or 443? Can you try accessing iDRAC using https://192.168.0.120

What is the output for racadm getniccfg ????
there should be a idrac.nic.selection which is LOM, then you cannot reach the web interface remotely.
idrac.nic.selection should be dedicated, but if there is no correct license set, you cannot change the nic.seletion to dedicated.
racadm license view ?? maybe you have an expired license, then the nic.selection automatically move back to LOM.
On linux host:
racadm license import -f "license.xml" -c idrac.embedded.1
racadm set idrac.nic.selection 1

racadm license import -f License.xml -c idrac.embedded.1
LIC018 : The license is already imported.
racadm set idrac.nic.selection 1
[Key=idrac.Embedded.1#NIC.1]
Object value modified successfully
