Enter the system bios (F2 during boot), look for 'memory info' select this, a pop up window will appear. Look for 'redundant memory' and set this to disabled. That turns off memory sparing.

We don't have a "redundant memory option in "Memory Info"

I checked with the online manual here: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/SYSTEMS/peR810/en/HOM/PDF/R810en.pdf

and the option is listed, see page 63. You could try re-setting the nvram on the motherboard using the jumper and setting everything back to default.

Just double checked  and redundant memory is set to disabled and his highlighted blue.

Tried everything and eventually we discovered it was a bad stick, working on getting a replacement.

Dear Concern,


I am facing issue in Dell Server R810 Memory utilization, i have install memory 128GB but showing 112GB from OS. I am trying to change memory redundancy option but it is disable and not changeable. pls suggest me how can i solve this issue?


Note: Flash BIOS 2.7.4 to 2.9.
